Flattened Rice (fried) with Potatoes (Poha Aloo)

1 Bowl Flattened Rice (soaked)

1 Potato

1 Tablespoon Turmeric

1 Tablespoon Red Chilli Powder

½ Tablespoon Mustard Seeds

2 Dry Red Chillies

1 Tablespoon Sugar

½ Tablespoon Asafoetida

4-5 Curry Leaves

Preparation

Wash flattened rice softly in water and place alongside to dry. Cut the potato in small pieces.

Method

Place oil to cook in low heat. After heating oil enough, put mustard seeds, asafoetida, dry red chillies and add small pieces of the potatoes.

Now, add turmeric, salt, red chilli powder and sugar  in flattened rice.

Meanwhile, potatoes will be cooked. Now add the flattened rice to the fried potatoes in pan.Mix it properly so the colour of turmeric and red chilli will cover whole flattened rice.

Now, turn of the flames and add curry leaves on the top of the rice.

Serve with what suits you best.
