Fried Spicy Potato (Aloo ki Sabji)

2-3 Potatoes

4-5 Curry Leaves

4-5 Coriander Leaves

1 Dry Red Chilli (small pieces)

1 Green Chilli  (small pieces)

1 Tablespoon Coriander Powder

1 Tablespoon Red Chilli Powder

½ Tablespoon Turmeric Powder

1 Tablespoon Sugar (Optional)

½ Tablespoon Fenugreek

½ Small Tablespoon Asafoetida

4-5 Tiny Pieces of Ginger

Edible Oil



Cut potatoes in small pieces.


Cook 2 tablespoon oil on a deep pot. When oil is cooked enough, cook asafoetida, mustard seeds, fenugreek, dry red chilli and cumin seeds in oil. Fry them for 30 seconds and put all the potatoes in the oil and mix them properly, now add ½ glass of water and place lid to cover the pot.

When potatoes are cooked properly, add sugar, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, curry leaves, green chilli.

Mix it well properly and cook for few minutes, till all the ingredients cook properly along with potato.

Serve with what suits you best.

Recommended –  Chapati, Paratha
