Green Gram Mixed Rice ( Kathiyawadi Hara Moong Dal Khichdi)

We need a deep clay pot to cook this Dish.

2 Tablespoon Pigeon Pea

1 Bowl Rice

½ Bowl Green Gram

Asafoetida

Coriander Leaves

1 Green Chilli (small pieces)

Salt

Method

Boil water in pot. Meanwhile, mix rice, green gram and pigeon pea and wash them. Now, add these to water in pot.

Now, add asafoetida and salt as per taste and mix them. Place the lid on top of the pot and boil the mix of rice and beans. Now add turmeric powder after 5 minutes in it and leave to boil again.

Now, after 10 minutes, check if its cooked properly. When beans and rice are cooked properly, mix green chilli and add coriander leaves.

Serve with what suits your taste.

Recommended – Pickle, Curry

Serves – 1-2 persons.
