Sprout Green Gram Gravy (Ankurit Moong Daal Sabji)

½ Bowl of Green Gram

2 Big Tablespoon Edible Oil

1 Tablespoon Turmeric

1-2 Dry Red Chillies

1 Tablespoon Coriander Powder

1 Tablespoon Red Chilli Powder

½ Small Tablespoon Asafoetida

1 Green Chilli

3-4 Coriander Leaves


Soak green grams for at least a night before to make it soft. Strain all the water before use.

Now keep it for another night to grow sprouts. It’s ready when we have ready sprouts on green gram. 


Put oil to cook on a pan and use 1½ tablespoon of  oil. Add, ½ tablespoon asafoetida, dry red chillies and then sprouts. Add some more water (½ glass) and place a lid on top of the pan and leave it for next 10 minutes.

Remove lid after 10 minutes and add, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt, red chilli powder, curry leaves, tiny ginger pieces and green chilli in small pieces.

Now mix all of them properly.

Serve with what suits you best after adding coriander leaves at top.
